Introduction to Indian Embroidery.

India is very diverse in its range of Embroidery offerings. There are at least 15 different types of embroidery that I am aware of. Then there is also the Tribal Embroidery and Gold work. Here you will find a brief introduction to all these types along with samples.

Beautiful pictures and a very easy-to-understand style. I do have a question - where does one buy the mirrors?

Sonja: Asnwer to your question on mirrors. Here in the US, I have used rhinestones by flipping it so that the flat side is up. They work well but they tend to slip a lot.
