Double Back Stitch




Step 1. Double back stitch is just like the Back stitch. Except that you cross over to the second line to continue the stitch. Keep the stitches small and even.










Step 2. Work the back stitch again and cross over to the first line.











Step 3. Similar to Step 1.














This is how the back of the fabric gets filled, forming a shadow on the front. Make sure that you cut all loose threads.












This is the front of the fabric.

This is better known as shadow work or reverse herringbone stitch. Keep up the good work, nevertheless!

You are right. It is also called "Shadow Stitch".
